Kai Neville is an Australian filmmaker and photographer who is best known for his work in the surf film industry. Born in 1984 in Adelaide, Australia, Neville grew up in a remote country town and was drawn to the ocean at a young age.
In his early twenties, Neville began filming surfers and creating short films, which quickly gained attention for their innovative cinematography and editing style. He gained widespread recognition for his work in 2010 with the release of his debut independent film "Modern Collective", which was praised for its unique visual style and unconventional approach to surf filmmaking.
Neville went on to create several more critically acclaimed surf films, including "Lost Atlas" (2011), "Dear Suburbia" (2012), and "Cluster" (2015). His work has been featured in countless surf publications and he has been recognized with awards at several film festivals.
In addition to his work in surf filmmaking, Neville is also an accomplished commercial director and photographer. He has worked with a variety of brands, including Corona, Nike, IWC Schaffhausen and Shiseido, and his work has been featured in campaigns and advertisements around the world.
